Frances and Josh wanted an earthy, cosy and romantic vibe for their wedding; being nature lovers themselves, they chose an outdoor sustainable education centre for their venue. Kortright Centre for Conservation is nestled among 325 hectares of woodland, so you better believe we walked around taking photos among the sugar maples and pine tree plantations…
We started in the cute little town, walking around through their favorite spots like Culbert’s Bakery, and then headed to their cottage right on Lake Huron! I love how my couples instantly relax when they get to their happy place, which is why I LOVE promoting these cottage engagement sessions. Jesse, the groom, also shares my joy for the winter season which is why they both decided to have their wedding in the winter (woo, bonus points for Helen for agreeing to this!). One thing some couples may find challenging is the portrait portion of a winter wedding, as I know many may not want to trek through snow in their sandals. Well guess what, who says you have to wear heels all day!? Put on those converse or boots and dont let the weather put a damper on getting epic photos!
