Winter Wedding at the Doctors House // Helen & Jesse

If you had to be in temperatures of over 30 or under 15, which would you choose? I am definitely the type that gets too stuffy if its too hot out, almost claustrophobic when its high humidity without any wind. Dont get me wrong, I do enjoy summer when its here, but I dont belong in the beaches of Costa Rica all year round. I love winter ALOT; the slowing down and inward nostalgia one feels, the crisp fresh air after the snow has fallen, and guessing animal tracks on the snow when going for hikes up north (its fun, I swear!).

Jesse, the groom, also shares my joy for the winter season which is why they both decided to have their wedding in the winter (woo, bonus points for Helen for agreeing to this!). One thing some couples may find challenging is the portrait portion of a winter wedding, as I know many may not want to trek through snow in their sandals. Well guess what, who says you have to wear heels all day!? Put on those converse or boots and dont let the weather put a damper on getting epic photos! I love that Helen, Jesse + their whole bridal were SO game to play in the snow, get a bit cold, and contribute to a lifetime of memories.

Another reason why Helen & Jesse are the coolest humans ever: they got a pole dancer to come and surprise their guests with a wicked performance + they went up to do a little dance of their own! Needless to say, the day was filled with so much spontaneity, adventure and laughter. Check out their story below!
