While I was travelling Hawaii, I wanted to shoot something really special, so I contacted the lovely Annie Kamiya from Mango Season Weddings to see if we could work on something togeher! I’m so grateful that the universe brought Annie & I together because she organized the most incredible day in Hawaii with the sweetest couple! Lila & Melissa will officially be getting married April 27th 2019, but we decided to do a pre-wedding day session that included some of their favorite things! We started off at the Manulele, Kohana Rum Distillers where we tasted fresh sugar cane, honey and of course, Rum! After exploring the grounds, we ended up going to Haleiwa, the North Shore of Oahu, to a cute little Mexican place called Cholo’s for Margherita’s & Moscow Mules. After exploring the hippie town a little bit, we set out to Haleiwa beach for a cute little boho picnic to watch the sun set. Unfortunately the clouds rolled in and we were hit with a huge storm which had us locked in a car for a bit until things started clearing up. The good thing about tropical weather is that everything passes fairly quickly. We arrived on the beach to Annie setting up a romantic picnic complete with macarons, cheese, & champagne.
The whole day was perfect; & witnessing the connection that Lila & Melissa share was so special for me to capture!
A huge thank you to Annie who coordinated the whole day flawlessly + her husband Curtis who was such a big help that day! You two have SUCH a big heart & I’m so happy we crossed paths <3
