Kawartha Provincial Park Cottage Wedding // G&B

I met the bride Genevieve through her mom Lisa, who I met in India when we were doing our Yoga teacher training years ago. Ever since then, we stayed in contact and consistently caught up. Lisa also took me into her home for a month and I saw first hand how special this family was; I watched and listened to the way Lisa and John nurtured everyone around them, living their life with pure intention. They have been an inspiration to me ever since and have transformed my own outlook on how rewarding and loving a family system can be.

Gen & Bernards wedding took place at their family cottage in the Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park on Wolf Lake. Their beautiful cottage wedding was visited by blue herons and loons, and ended with a night sky full of stars. There were so many incredible moments throughout the day, like: Gen and her father John arriving into the ceremony on a beautiful white swift canoe (that John gifted to the newlyweds), their whole family playing beautiful music throughout the ceremony and reception with lots of surprises, Bernards mom officiating the wedding, Gen & Bernards’s beautiful daughter Amelie who constantly put smiles on everyones faces, Gen and Bernards surprise lip-sync first dance to Starships “Nothing gonna stop us now”, Bernards mom officiating the wedding, the delicious family style food and wonderful wine (thirty bench is one of my favorite wineries now!), and so much more! This wedding actually holds the world record for number of speeches that took place that evening - they all love a good story, and this wedding day will definitely add to their collection. <3
